Program Overview

The 1-Month Homestay & Learn Spanish Program offers international students the chance to live with a Chilean family while attending structured Spanish classes. It combines language learning, cultural immersion, and guided excursions — ensuring both academic progress and unforgettable experiences.

Accommodation & Homestay

• Private furnished bedroom in a carefully selected Chilean host family home

• Two meals per day (breakfast and dinner)

• Laundry service once per week

• Internet access included

• Orientation upon arrival + airport pickup

• Active cultural immersion: daily Spanish conversation, family meals, household participation

Spanish Language Learning

• 15 hours of classes per week (total: ~60 hours)

  • Morning lessons (Monday to Friday, 3 hours per day)

  • Focus on speaking, listening, grammar, and Chilean expressions

• Optional workshops in Business Spanish, Medical Spanish, or Tourism Spanish

• Continuous practice with host family during meals and free time

Cultural & Social Activities

• 1 cultural workshop per week (Chilean cooking, history, music, or dance)

• 2 weekend excursions (e.g. Valparaíso & Viña del Mar from Santiago, Villarrica National Park from Temuco, or Lake District tours from Puerto Montt)

• City orientation tour in the first week

• Participation in host family activities such as shopping at markets or family gatherings

Sample Weekly Schedule

Monday – Friday

• Morning: Spanish classes (3 hrs)

• Afternoon: Free time, homework, or optional activities

• Evening: Dinner and Spanish practice with host family

Saturday

• Organized cultural excursion or activity

• Free time or activities with host family
